Cooking for Dummies ~ Baked BBQ Chicken

It would seem that this might be a harder thing than it really is, but if you are no expert in the kitchen and you eat a lot of Ramen noodles then even you can have good BBQ Chicken dinner.

Ingredients:

Chicken 1-2 pieced per person(I prefer with bones and skin for baking just as you would on a real BBQ grill)

BBQ (buy any flavor & brand from a store)

Canned or Frozen Vegitable (my choice green beans)

Bread

Butter

Preheat over to 350 degree’s

Place chicken in oven cooking pan, I prefer glass. Pour BBQ over top and cover with aluiminum foil.

Bake in over for 45 – 60 min’s, Thighs and drumsticks usually take 45, breasts and white meat usually take an hour.

When chicken is ready to come out turn off oven, and crack only slightly, this will stop the cooking process but allow chicken to remain hot. Heat your vegitable choice, I use the microwave, canned I drain all water and put a small amount of butter in a dish, I cover and heat.

Butter your Bread.

Serve.

Now you can have mashed potatoes and if you want easy potatoes buy the boxed kind. If you have mashed potatoes, which we are tonight I like to use the BBQ sauce that will be in the bottom of your pan after cooking your chicken as a gravy type thing, its great with mashed potatoes.

What always makes me hesitant to cooking chicken is not how to cook it or prepare it, its remembering How hot and how long. Main reason I wrote this entry, was to remind myself of just that. 🙂

Yummmmmmm, especially when I can’t eat… *pouts* Hugs

I’m terrified of cooking meat…the only time I’ll eat it is if my mother cooks, or if I go out to dinner. Other than that..I’m just afraid of eating something raw and getting really sick. I guess I’m paranoid..oh well.
