Its part of war, get over it
I am so angry that there are Iraqi families suing the British government for abuse. I am angry that Iraqi’s think what happened in the prisons is so unallowable. Hell, they let Husaan’s government do it for over 10 years in their prisons, yet when those being questions during a time of war by Americans… Oh the horrors, its abuse?! War is a horrible thing, this is one of the many many reason’s its so horrible. But this IS WHAT HAPPENS. Forget the fact radicals in Iraq KILL their own people by bombing cars waiting for a check point for those going into a building area for work… that’s ok, but heaven forbid the US abuse or humiliate prisoners of war. Not to mention our own people who were abused as well. I read an article of an American who was starved, dehydrated and sick being found in Iraq who was just a contractor for construction or something.. he crawled out of a shack and with his arms above his head yelled don’t shoot Im an American… he had been held captive by Iraqi radicals, but this story didn’t even make the news only the news of Bush’s “horrible” speech to the Iraqi TV channels.
Ohhh… Hear that Bush wants another 25 Billion dollars to continue the war effort in Iraq. This breaks the promise that Bush made about not asking for more money before the elections. Vote the asshole out. I can not believe this. The chance he could have made to withdraw all Americans and our business out of the Middle East right after 9-11 was missed. He would have had tons of support and other countries would have as well stopped buying the oil and giving aid as well. Its truly what needs to be done. We need to prove to them we do not depend on them for oil. We need to use our own, we have plenty in stores, not to mention we buy oil from other countries like Georgia (something happened there recently that I feel is what caused a jump in our gas prices).
I’ve learned the joys of listening to the BBC. I find I get a much broader view of what is going on in the world not just what is immediately about Americans, like the problem in Georgia that is now resolved but what was looking might be a serious political problem in the government there. I cant possibly spell the name of the town that this all happened in, mostly because Im not truly sure what its name is (part of the British accent Im not used to yet, that and I never realized how fast the British can talk). Anyhow this town, the local people didn’t want who they had in office anymore, and apparently the leader blew up the three bridges connecting this town to the rest of the country.. Now this upheaval could have been worse but other higher up political people (Russians) intervened and the guy stepped down yesterday. But this caused our gas prices to spike because it could have been worse and the US has an interest in Georgia for oil reasons. (See how much I learn by listening to the BBC.)
There is a political vote happening in India to elect some official, but truthfully I’ve not caught much on those reports yet and Im still trying to figure out what this guy is politically to India.
Ohhh heard the silliest thing recently, there are talks or rumors or something about building a wall, like the idea of the old Berlin Wall, in Jerusalem. ::snorts:: ohh that’s so gonna help now isn’t it. :;shakes her head:: really now.
I don’t know exactly why, but too many religions have come out of Jeruselum… (1000’s of years ago) and all they do is fight over this “holy” city of theirs. If its so holy why war over it, doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose of “religious” beliefs of the main 3 that occupy Jerusalem.
Ohhh,
I should mention I’ve read the book “Da Vinci Code” and I love the book. Mind you I like the concepts of balance in the book, the number PHI, sacred feminine, and the truths that the Christian (Catholic) religion changed much of their beliefs or concepts to help convert pagans, including the change that women were “evil”.
I’ll go into this idea later, and discuss my thoughts, for it is something that I really want to talk about and see if any of my readers have an opinion either similar to my own or if they even knew of some of the basics. It has made me want to go into Religious and History studies.
we brits dont talk that fast do we 🙂 nice to share an opinion on the war with someone else.

I completely agree with you on our situation with Iraq. Bush is wasting time and money thinking he is helping out another country. But seriously, all we are doing is making a complete mess out of what has happened. I enjoyed reading your entry.

You have some interesting viewpoints in here… You think that Kerry is going to do better than Bush? I don’t. Of course, I am not a huge Bush fan either (even though I’ll admit I voted for him). It’s a strange post 9-11 world… very strange. Hugs
