Let’s not make history
So I voted yesterday. Didn’t watch the news at all about who won. I think because despite my vote casting I knew who was going to win. Too many people afraid to change presidents in the middle of a “war”.
I want to rant, so this is all this post is about. If you read it don’t bother replying unless you have something to say other than Im wrong or how stupid I am.
I don’t think Bush should be our president. He doesnt care about the American people, he only cares about protecting his family money in the oil business. Keep gas prices high, he gets rich, lets allow major companies to send even their white collar jobs over seas now, not just the manufacturing jobs. Lets pretend to care about the middle class while not doing so. Lets veto government jobs cost of living raise so that they too can not afford the basics in life. Lets try to get rid of the unions, and american jobs all together. Lets just give the world your fucking country, its ok, as long as the OIL is all yours.
Im angry that the exit polls found that not even 50% of the people in college and right out of college did not vote, they left it all up to the baby boomer generation. Sure lets give the majority of the vote to the people who are already settled into retirement or soon to be. Its ok, they don’t need jobs, lets just stay at school or in the dorm room or in the library or at the piddly little part time job and let them make the choices.
Damn it it was up to you, and you failed. Welcome to another four years of the rich getting richer and the middle class worker getting less and less.
damn right!

I completely agree with everything you said except for the part about young voters. There is a large number of 18-25 year olds in the military that voted absentee (including my husband and myself) that aren’t counted in these stats at all. Also, many college students I know also voted absentee if they were far from home. That’s a big chunk of “young” voters.

While I don’t quite agree, I am glad you still have the right to have your opinion, and that’s something that I fear that if Ashcroft stays, will be by the wayside. I’m more concerned about civil liberties (and the lack thereof) than moolah. That’s something, amazingly, we really control. *smiles* Hugs
