Google & IE 7 issues
I’m having some serious issues with my google homepage and gmail. Some reason its saying I don’t have active X enabled when I do. Its pissing me off and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried deleting all cookies I’ve tried deleting all temporary internet files and I’ve even gone as far as uninstalling and reinstalling IE 7. I don’t know what happened but it happened over night.
I’m completely frustrated.
UPDATE: I figured it out, it was the Windows update MSXML 4.0 SP2 Update. It reads: A vulnerability exists in the XMLHTTP ActiveX control within Miscrosoft XML Core Services taht could allow for remote code execution
This update messed with my setting for gmail and my google homepage so that it couldn’t load my gmail :/ It also prevented me from using Standard gmail and made me use the HTML version of it which is entirely frustrating as you must check mark each trashed email or spam to empty or perm delete them, isntead of just using the click to delete them all button. Stupid Microsoft.
Gonna have to let MS know it’s foobarred and Google know as well. Stupid MS.
I don’t know what causes the issues, but I know that I hated IE7 as soon as I saw it. I like my internet simple and uncomplicated. Email Google, they may know the answer. Hugs
