You guys rock

I wouldn’t have even begun to think about something like Growing Pains for the reason behind my sons pain!

I would have spent a bunch of co-pay money going to the Dr. and getting his blood drawn… or being told "it’s just growing pains, go home and give him Tylenol and massages!" ha ha…

I found this great article here and it lists exactly what Jacob is going through! So *shwew!*

I’m glad it’s nothing serious.

I’ll give him tylenol for the next few days and hopefully he’ll sleep better. I think that boy got less sleep than I did. Poor thing. He’s knocked out right now according to my brother so that’s good as well.

I don’t know why my brother keeps getting sick either. It’s frustrating because he won’t communicate with me when he starts to feel poorly so we can nip it in the bud. blah.

I’ll be buying lots of orange juice and vitamins when I get to the store in the next few weeks.

I hope we’re all better by the weekend or all these family outings are gonna be cancelled.

My meds are finally starting to work. I was feeling like I had been run over.

blah.

I remember my mom dunking me in warm baths to cure growing pains. I cant remember if it really helped the pain, but it made me sleepy.

haha, diagnosis by OD. When one of my kids gets sick, I start spraying Lysol (well, the generic one) around the house and it seems to help. Of course, there have been no scientific studies in my home, but it makes me feel better anyway. ??

hope everyone feels better soon!!!

That must be weird for a kid being in pain and not really knowing why. I can’t remember if I had growing pains or not. Hopefully the techniques in that article will give Jacob some relief.

I hope your kid starts feeling better! It’s frustrating when someone you love is hurting and you have no idea why 🙁 Thanks a ton for your note on my entry by the way, I appreciate it.. I’ll try to catch up on some of your entries when I have more time. See ya!

Get his ears looked at. The Monster was sick like crazy last year, turns out it was because of ear infections and fluid build up in the ears. They put tubes in his ears over the summer (15 min procedure) and he’s barely been sick since. Check his ears.

My stepson (I have a stepson… that’s just weird.) used to have bad growing pains too. The only thing that would help was a heating pad. So if you have one of those, that might be good too. Do your kids take pills? I hope so. Dev won’t take a pill to save his life. ~

I knew it! 🙂
