OPM 23

I really really thought today was Thursday. Really.  🙁  There’s a whole other day in this week still to go.

Today’s prompts are smooth and withered.  I took some creative license with them:

Smooth.  Bubba and Bo, Daddy’s chihuahua that he lost a few years ago.  He was fat as a tick, so that made him smoooooth.  (A stretch, I know, but I love the picture.)

I’ve got a couple for withered.  This first one I took a few years ago at an Invasive Species workshop.  They had just dumped in come Common Salvinia that was infested with this special beetle that they had brought in from South America that would only feed on salvinia.  It was an experimental method to control the salvinia.  I haven’t heard how successful they’ve been with it.

And what’s that saying about necessity being the mother of invention?  I needed to dry my shoes and I don’t have a play to hang them outside.  It was a beautiful, sunny day, so I improvised (on my withered fig tree, like how I made that fit? :D)  Yes, it was dark when I remembered them, but I sort of like the "ghost shoe" sort of look they have.

Very clever, with the shoes! And the one of the boys is pretty great.
