Lifting for 5-14-9

Woke up snuggling with the girl. I love it. But it means I end up getting out of bed later, which ends up effecting my mood. There were more people in the gym this afternoon.

    Day B, Workout X

    Rest: 30 sec between exercises

    Alternating Sets
    Snatch-grip Deadlift: 3×8 @ 155 lb
    Push-up-Row: 3×8 @ 20 lbs

    Alternating Sets
    Bulgarian Split Squat with Overhead Press: 3×8 @ 10 lbs
    Chin-ups: 6, 5, 3 @ BW

    Alternating Sets
    RDL with Row: 8, 8, 7 @ 100 lbs (+10 lbs)
    Lower Body Russian Twist: 3×8 @ BW

    Metabolic Overdrive: 4 rounds on elliptical (1 minute hard, 2 minutes recovery)

30 seconds is so little. There’s no time to think. You just go.

I’m glad I’ve been wise with my weight selection. I know if I push myself too hard, I’ll hit that wall. I know I don’t need to kill myself for the workout to be effective.

Intervals were hard. Man. I think adding a fifth interval would be counterproductive. I don’t know. Just trying to push myself, that’s all.

I noticed that there’s a new gym openning up near me. http://zoogym.com/ Cheaper than the Y, seems promising, however I believe it states that there’s no showers. Call me silly, but I’m freaking disgusting after I work out. If you don’t break enough of a sweat to make you want to strip naked and clean yourself, you’re not working hard enough. Heh. We’ll see.
