Happy Easter

I am home safe and sound and will celebrate the festive day with friends. I just saw a news documentary on CNN about Billy Graham, and someone mentioned that they are on a continuining crusade. I guess the war of ideas continues. I am the distiller of ideas, looking for the essence, and looking for similarities.

I will NEVER say I am on a bloody crusade. That shit is behind us now.

I just bought an Arizona Ice Tea that says Peace on it and the Peace Sign.

Loved it…

Come to think of it, the word crusade also does not exist in the bible either. It was added later, to justify wars. So Christians and Muslims did the same thing, bending the pure words to come up with ways to send the masses to their deaths, for the benefit of whoever wrote or used the words.

So in my book the mysticism is absent. There is no Heaven or Hell. But enjoy your life, since it can last a mighty long time!

I do not want to control other people, just enjoy their presence. I have a hard enough time control my own thoughts..

Twin Towers Revisited

I recall the reason for this war between religions/countries that climaxed at 9/11/2001. It was most likely pride, one religion thinking it knew all and the other being upset about it. Or the US being too proud of all its victories, causing resentment elsewhere. I hope we use a distilled version of the truth to avoid any more danger to any precious human.

For that reason I like to avoid fame, since it can corrupt.

Peace in my neck of the world

My peace bubble is huge, from Holland to the US, but my ambition is for this bubble to become world-wide with everyone’s help and have humanity finally retire the words war, disease, loneliness, etc.

April Fool

Hear hear to your goals, and hopes for the world! And amen to the potential of pride for wreaking havoc. So many times, I’ve heard experts mention that such and such country (often the US, but many others, of course) could not capitulate or let some offense – however small or stupid – go because it would mean the country would “lose face.” (I know this is an Asian term, but I’ve heard it applied to us.) And it seems intrinsic to the idea of religion that other, opposite thoughts, credos, cannot ultimately be welcomed. The adults often pretend to tolerate, but you can hear their children speak what they really are taught to think. Otherwise, ultimately, their own worth can be lo$t. Ryn: Eat carrots? =;-)

Hope your Easter was fabulous as well! Crap, never-mind my heathen views on religion (had to take a later posting down so the rest of the world would not hate me). Ya know, if all else fails with me here in America…I still have relatives over seas whom I can move with anytime of the day…that’s a good feeling. Anyways, just glad to hear that all is going well with you.
