unfabulous

Yesterday I went for a walk in the Amsterdam Forest. The weather was fine, sun and a light breeze, but also a bit muggy. That is why I had to be careful that I would not exhaust myself to much. I brought the Stone Diaries with me, and I spent a lot of time reading this on benches in the shade. Now summer is here I think I’ll do this more often.

            During breakfast I watched the Heaven & Earth show, which, amongst other things, discussed that more and more teenagers (especially girls) are turning away from the church towards being a wiccan. Contact with nature is seen as very important, and this is something with which I heartily agree.

            After this nearly three hour walk I turned on the tv and started cooking. I saw an interesting documentary on Roals Dahl. He was not just a great author of children’s books, but as a person and family man he didn’t do to bad either.

            At 6.45 I watched ‘unfabulous’ and ‘Zoey 101’. After this I should have switched it off. I did do some filing of my thesis, making the papers in order, and throwing away earlier drafts. But at 9.30 I went to watch ‘Bones’. RTL5 is trying to lose their viewers, apparently, because the aired a rerun again. So I started flicking through the channels. From 10 till 11 I saw 2 episodes of South Park. I liked them, about WOW and conspiracies surrounding September 11. After this I decided that this was enough for the day. I wanted to write something as a conclusion, so I wrote in my paper diary. Luckily, today the computer rooms are open again.
