ING don’t want me
Today I went to the ING bank open day to see if we could arrange for me to get a job there. I really liked the recruiter, and the introduction they gave was extensive and interesting. The training would take FIVE full time weeks, but I could just manage. It would have been a paid training too.
As can be concluded from the preceding modals, an agreement could not be reached. They apparently already had some doubt in their assessment via the phone. Hence they offered me an opportunity to do a resit. Unfortunately that only confirmed their idea that I wasn’t commercial enough. Cross and deep selling is not something I would be able to do (according to them). They might even be right, since I don’t have any experience in sales. I would have liked to try though.
Tomorrow an interview in Aalsmeer. I had planned on skipping it, but now that I know that ING doesn’t want me, I might as well go. The boring and easy job, yet very flexible, is probably going to come out the victor.
