Job Stuff

So, I started the job 2 weeks ago now; I haven’t had much time to write (or note) because apparently actually having a full-time job keeps you pretty busy. The job itself is pretty laid back – much more so than my previous accounting job. There’s flexible work hours, meaning I can come in anytime from 7 to 9 every day and go to lunch whenever I want and slip out 10 minutes early every day and the whole atmosphere is just generally easy going. Apparently most jobs are like this, but neither of my previous jobs have been so it’s a nice change of pace.

I do miss teaching, so much that when they showed me a video of a training seminar they do, all I could think about was how much I would like to do the training, hah. But I should probably learn what I’m doing first before I propose that idea. I am still pretty clueless about a lot of aspects of my job, but unlike my last accounting job they seem to expect me to be clueless, which is much more comforting.

I keep intending to actually explore where I live now and fun things to do in the area, but, again, I seem to stay too busy for this to ever actually be a possibility. The girls on okcupid in the area are a lot cuter for what it’s worth, if I ever get around to messaging any of them.

Anyway, I am going to actually try to read some of your diaries soon. If anyone is having a crisis, you should leave me a note or something so I can prioritize, haha.

Where is your new job?

I’m so happy to hear you like the new job =) Flexibility and a wonderful perk, and I hope that someday I’ll have that again. The 1st law office I worked at was chill, and so long as all my deadlines were met I could come and go as I pleased. Good luck with the dating scene =)

Wow you’ve already moved and everything. Surely it’s not so time consuming that you don’t even have half an hour every day to have let us know how things were going. How many hours a week do you work?? ~I’ll be

lol im glad the girls are cuter….hooray for new adventures!

RYN: I dunno, I think shitty little entry-level go-nowhere jobs like Family Dollar might not drug test… You were a teacher and now you’re an accountant (again) so maybe it’s different. I don’t know, everyone keeps telling me that I probably won’t have to take a drug test because it’s expensive for the company and etc etc etc. So I don’t know.

Sounds good. Were you in The Country before? And are you not anymore?

Ah, great news! Good to hear it’s going well so far.

Glad things are going so well for you! We need to set up a chat date sometime so we can actually catch up. I miss you.

Your comment about the girls on okcupid being cuter cracked me up. The guys in the Houston area are hideous. I’m glad to know it’s everywhere. I think your old job was just from hell.

I am having a crisis. You should come here and help me remedy it. P.S. Um, so I pretty much hate OD right now, because an error message pops up every time I go to enter something – an entry, a note. Whatever.

You know where the girls are even cuter – California. Not that I’m biased or anything. . .
