Seize the day!

December 25, 2004

Wow, the year has gone by!

For Christmas Day, all of my large stops were closed- except for Walgreen’s Drug Store.

They got 100 papers instead of the usual 60.

Got there before they opened, and that hot redhead was there again.

I met her about a month ago but didn’t make the time to chat with her more- I was running way late that morning anyway.

But

carpe deum!

I delivered the papers and waited while Shannon helped a customer, then handed her the last name card in my wallet.

“So, would it be like totally inappropriate to give you my card and ask you to call me?”

She looked flustered and blushed- “Who, me?  Well, ah, ah, umm, I’m kinda in a relationship now but…I’m so flattered!”  And still her hand was out to get my card.

I gave it to her and wished her a merry Christmas.

And she took the card.

Seize the day.

Ok, that was my last name card.  I’ve made dozens over the years and handed them out to all sorts of women.  There has been a very low response, so I’ve been thinking of saying fuck it and just run out of cards.  What the hell.

I think I’ll make more.  I have the card stock, and the card on the computer, a color printer- no problem to make more.

What the hell.

Toss out a line- might get a bite.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I’m glad you gave me your card and I got to know you. The cards are definately worth it and hopefully that redhead will call you sometime when/if she gets out of her “kinda” relationship.

I think the cards are a good idea… That way you are not writing your number on a slip of paper and it getting lost somewhere… Most people put cards in their wallets… SO : When they go to grab something out, they find the card and their thoughts automatically drift to you… You sly mister!

I think making more cards is a great idea! More women should seize the day but old customs die hard. A slight revision in case you are dealing with someone shy…put a line on the bottom for their phone number in case they want you to call them.

That is also the name of my most fav ambrosia. *smiles* Keep on fishin’!!!! *grins*Blessings and Love,

Merry Christmas!

I love having my work business cards which I give to all those who I love with my private line. They are just so much easier than little bits of paper. Oh and merry christmas! I hope you had a lovely day. I ate too much and feel like a blob. A blob with a great big livingroom toy mess to clean up!

ryn I did get alot of cool stuff such as 5 dvds an mp3 player some pjs 2 rings some pens money a pin 2 small bowls a chocolate orenge a book 2 pair of earings. that’s all I can think of for right now.

🙂

I agree- seize it. I have been given cards and floundered, but only because I was in a relationship. I’ve usually instantly respected the grit of a man to give me one, and indeed, been very flattered. You made her day– no doubt about it. I hope your Christmas was good.
