This last week, I’ve only had am and pm runs to do with my bus, but the after school program starts back up Monday and I’ll be away from home more than 12 hours a day.  I’ll have a few hours mid-day and will post maybe then, but I won’t and haven’t had all that much time to keep up with all the favs on my list – which has grown because I stopped trimming it because it’s hard to tell who’s really gone or not reading any more.  The attention level to my pieces has seen a drawdown lately, and I fear it may not be just that I haven’t been reading/noting others.  I might have gotten boring.

Seattle’s Post-Intelligencer newspaper is calling it quits.  I wonder how long this newspaper gig will last.  The sundays are in bundles of 12’s this weekend – very thin for a sunday paper.  It’s not uncommon for them to get thin after the holidays – newspaper revenues come mostly from advertising, and this time around, many retailers have gone tits up (sorry for those offended by the term, but women float facing up when they drown.  That extra adipose (fat that fills breasts) tissue floats, you know) and we have fewer ads in the paper this weekend.

It may not be a recession proof job… or, possibly the boss might drop the other driver and I’d deliver all the papers myself…. If The Oregonian lasts.  If I lose that job, well, all the bus pay will go to rent, insurance, car payments, and ramen.  I will be POOR (er) then.  Gotta try the best I can to keep my car – I would be screwed without reliable transpo.

Got a "Lifetime" membership here, whatever that means, so I guess I’ll keep writing and posting pics – 5588 on Photobucket so far and that’s 11% of my space there.  Got room to spread it out, I guess, and ya know, it’s not JUST the attention I write and post for.

Well, that is a big part of it – hell, no one reads any of my MySpace postings, so I pretty much gave that up – oh, I still have a space there, with pics and posts and stuff, but not as much ever as here.

Speaking of time, I should catch a nap before work tonight.

Mata, neh?*

*Japanese, later, eh?

RYN: I differ with “not all that much here” since it seems many folks at least read (counter up there on the page) and ppl note.

I think everyone gets busy…I know my notes are also down quite a bit and I think that without the drama of a dying husband, I am no longer quite as titillating!

I think sometimes people read but they don’t note becuase they don’t have the time. or don’t know what to say. lol I put the onus on them because of time restraints and not on me because I am boring or mundane.

I do hope the economy levels out again. It’s got David all worked up and worried about it.Wishing you all the best,

Oui, Mata. The other paper folding may make your paper more viable.
