Benson Bridge
We’ve had several days of below freezing temperatures. The water falls in the Columbia Gorge have frozen up. The reports I heard the other night of the Columbia River itself freezing up were greatly exagerated.
Multnomah Falls was surprisingly crowded – as many cars were there as I see in the summer.

Benson Bridge, between the upper and lower falls of Multnomah Falls, was erected in 1914 – it’s 95 years old.

I think this bridge has a fairytale-ish look to it – I find it in my camera’s viewfinder a lot.

The water that flows under the bridge falls over five hundred feet from the top of the falls. In below freezing temperatures. There is a kind of music as the ice crystals fall to the frozen pool below the falls:
