3800/3196

This is entry number 3,800. 

I have written and posted 3,800 entries here, not counting those lost in the Great Hack attack of ’04.  There are 3,196 Public Entries.  I have been posting here since 2/04/04.

While my friend K* was here in February and March, we drove only 1,638 miles, for less than 55 hours of run-time on the engine of my car.  Since she left, on March 13, I have driven just 556 miles for 21 hours of engine run-time.  Today, I drove to Grant’s Pass and back, for 12 hours and 44 minutes of total time, and 9:45 engine run-time.

I took a friend of a friend down there to get some of his stuff from his mom’s house so he can move to Texas.

I spent my Saturday driving, which I love.  The weather was not good (rain, and lots of it), and got worse just as I got back into the Portland metroplex; too many cars and road spray and dusk is not a good combination.

I’m glad to be home.

I got back to my friend "A"’s house, where the friend of a friend has been staying and lamented that there was no one – no cat – waiting for me to come home.  (my cat of nearly 12 years died in January).  "A" has a cat – my "first Oregon cat" who is 18 years old.  Riley Cat was looking for cat treats – he likes me – and my friend gave me some treats to give his cat (and I guess I don’t question why tears come to my eyes as I write this.  I miss my cat)
