On March 3, my friend K* and I drove down to Coos Bay to se an old family friend of hers, stayed overnight down there, and drove back up the coast the next day.

We stopped at various places along the coast and walked the beaches and the sand dunes, taking pictures.

We’ll get to those later.

We found Japanese tsunami debris on Oregon beaches:

Ok, it’s just a broom, but it looks like and may well be a Japanese broom!

Ok, well, it’s not the ghost ship, the fishing ship spotted off the west coast, which is definitely from the tsunami ravaged areas in Japan, but this ain’t no April Fools post – that broom is almost certainly tsunami debris from Japan.
