twice, as a matter of fact
When you have done something more than a few times, you get faster at it.
I had the disk reformatted and running and it hung up on some anti-virus download and stopped working, and so, I did the whole thing again.
This is my triumphal message: back up and running.
It took about five hours (and 8 hours to sleep) to get back up, but there was no monkeying around with the registry
I took the opportunity to replace the system drive, 32 Gb, with another, much larger drive – 150 Gb. It’s sort of too bad, since the former system disk was a Solid State Drive and was QUIET and cool running, but 32 Gb was too small.
LOL!
I remember my first computer, that ran on floppy drives; 10 Mb was a HUGE disk drive then. Now my biggest USB drive is 2 TERABYTES. I’ll take the SSD put of the computer and use it as a USB drive when I travel – no moving parts. I have a case for it, a metal box, if you will.

It looks like a successful reformat.
