The mail today

In the mail today was a letter from the company I interviewed at last week, as a care-giver/instructor to men with learning disabilities.  I think I did well in the interview – good answers, good feelings, and I came home and sent them an email saying Thank you.

Could be that extra bit of politeness paid off.

They went with another candidate, but will keep my ap on file.

Closure, of a sort.  All too often these days, you apply, maybe even get an interview, and never hear a word about it again.

On to the next.

Good try. You never know, you might still get a call. You can keep the letter to document that you have been doing a job search.

sorry it was the wrong response for you but yes, at least it was a response

A good sign they are a reputable facility. Do NOT let them out of your sights; every three mos contact them and say is my app still on file? Do you anticipate any openings soon? THEY will be impressed with your follow up and committment for another opportunity. That’s how my son got his dream job, massaging the very company he wanted to work for over a 4 yr stint. Chin up, it’s coming!
