Is this color a ‘hit’ or ‘miss’?

And keep in mind while you decide, that there is no way in hell or on God’s green earth we are repainting! LOL! We just had to do way too much finagling (sp?) to reach everything in this stairwell!

So here are some blah before pictures of the stairwell desperate for some definition:

This color looks kinda green in the picture but it’s actually white! Ok, old and dirty white, but white nonetheless. You can see the difference on the inside doorjam of the newly painted room on the left which is NEW white!

Nice shot of our new tiffany style light too. Pretty isn’t it? And here are the after shots. Not sure if the color is too much or not, but it’s growing on us since we have no choice! lol.

This last shot shows the spot we are having the most trouble liking. From the cool green of the family room, looking into the warm peach of the stairwell where it is darkest just doesn’t look so palatable. *sigh* Oh well. It’s a heck of a lot better than it was, right? lol.

Not a whole lot of news going on around here. Steven pleasantly surprised us by actually doing well with his job. He went in every day and even on days off when he got called in to cover for a no show.  He did so well that they made him head cook and put him into the management trainee program! Woohoo! Ok, so it’s only Pizza Hut, but this from a kid I had despaired would ever straighten out enough to have a decent life on his own, it is tremendous! But then he goes and, for the second time, just doesn’t show up for a scheduled shift yesterday. He went off to spend the night with some married friends of his and every time he does, he pulls something like this. Hopefully he hasn’t shot himself in the foot here. I know one thing though, if he keeps this up, he will have either quit visiting or move in with these friends of his cuz he isn’t living here just to screw up!

And we are a week into waiting to hear from the school in the town we are hoping to relocate that hubby sent his resume to. We are both feeling the effects of the stress of trying to renovate a house with no money and time running out, especially since baseball tryouts start in 2 weeks and that takes a big chunk of his time right up until the end of school.  Wish us luck!

I like the colour. It is strong, but nice and warm and welcoming. Take care,

The color is good. It does well w/ the warm beige carpet and actually is a nice combo w/ the light green. The green looks to be more on the blue side than the yellow and it compliments the peach well. Good job. Stairwells are tough to paint.

Oh, I like those colors fine…those white stairs and borders help separate the colors so they don’t clash at all.

I love the colour and think that you have chosen the right tone to match with the green. Maybe you need to find a picture or some sort of wall hanging that carries the green of the family green onto the warm peach of the stairwell.
