A Double Triple!!!

We saw 3 of our kids this weekend and we had 3 things to celebrate on Sunday.

Steven was home, FireFaerie came in with her honey to go to the Ren-Faire and even the oldest, James came in with his witch…uh, I mean wife, to visit. Actually she was unusually friendly. Don’t know what’s going on with that!

Anyway, Al and Alysia went off on Saturday to the Ren-Faire in all their regalia but it was so cold that she had to keep her cape on all day so no one saw her outfit. But her cape is nice. I made her a floor length hooded royal blue velour cape a few years back and amazingly enough, it’s still in great shape! James envied the cape while his wife envied everything else! lol. I helped Alysia with her hair so it would be more medieval-ish, but I thought she needed a fancy headband or snood or something. Well, didn’t the brat come home wearing a tiara? LOL! And evidently Al decided to partake of the jousting event and was proudly wearing his red white and blue ribbon around his neck with a gold (aka plastic lol) medal stating he was a "Winner"! They really were too cute!

On Sunday it was Easter, Al and Alysia’s 2 yr anniversary and Steven’s 21st birthday. Since there were two other things to celebrate on HIS day, Steven declared he "was robbed!" Poor thing! LOL! We toasted all 3 events with wine at dinner, but Steven was drinking water since the kids took him out at midnight for his birthday and it seems he really went to town celebrating! That’s what ya get! lol. We didn’t have much money and didn’t know what to get him anyway, so we ended up getting him 21 scratch tickets which turned out to be a big hit. He had fun winning (and losing) but one ticket was a ‘big’ winner. He got $7 off that one. All in all, he won $11 on the $21 we spent, but it was exciting and he was happy with his winnings.

There are alot of birthdays in April around here and hubby’s is next. Steven said "April 14th is next weekend already?" and I asked him what April 14th was. He looked at me like I had two heads and acted like I had committed a crime because I didn’t know it was hubby’s birthday. I told him I knew it was but I didn’t know HE knew it was! He was a bit offended at that, but then he asked me when my birthday was…in May? DUH! It’s in November!! Kids! Sometimes ya just wanna slap ’em! LOL!

So now the kids are all gone, the celebrations are over, I am better finally and hubby and I are both back to work. *sigh* We got used to being home together so we are missing each other and readjusting to the routine yet again.

On the bright side, I am down to only 8 weeks of work left! Yay!

That sounds like a wonderful Easter. Are you finished work forever in 8 weeks time or is that just holiday time?

Oh well, I wish you good luck with both your house and your return to school. How exciting to be starting a new chapter in your life. Have to go now, just on a coffee break after making brunch for the gang here. Now its time to paint!
