Mother’s Day

was spent (you guessed it) working on the house! Which is what we did on my birthday, and hubby’s birthday and what I am sure we will be doing on Father’s Day as well. About the only excitement we have around here is finally being able to hit the sack…and not in a fun way either! Oh well, I am sure this will all end sometime this year.

Hubby made some great strides in the bathroom remodel. There seemed to be a roadblock at every turn. Two sets of pipes had to be rerouted, the shower nozzle raised, pipes cut in, pipes cut out, walls wiggled in and held in place by nails and adhesive and sometimes boards until the glue dried because of the "un-square" walls and on and on and on. But my hubby is nothing if not a perfectionist and his engineering definitely helped out and the tub is 90% in now. I was his plumber’s assistant all day and even though he could have kept working and was doing all the heavy labor, I just HAD to quit from exhaustion at about 6PM last night.

Being Mother’s Day, we made time afterward to call both Moms and of course I heard from FireFaerie and Steven!

Today is bill paying, laundry and cleaning day and then I have to work tonight, but not for much longer. We keep saying it as a joke, but I am beginning to think we really are going to pull into our new town on just one tire…and it’s gonna be flat! LOL!

You didn’t have to get permits for roughing the plumbing? Sorry I’m late, but Happy Mother’s Day! *hugs*
