Too much HGTV!

Hi. We are Colleen and Dennis,

Renovation Budget: Umm, you need money for that don’t you? Nope, no budget!

Renovation Deadline: Long gone!

Expected Profit: Just enough for a down payment on a flip we can afford to live in!

Would we do it again?: HELL NO! We’re gonna have to be blasted out of our next house!

What do you think? Too much HGTV as I suspect? Quick update on our progress…bathtub is in! YAY! Floor’s down! YAY! Walls are painted! YAY! The bathroom should be done this weekend which is good because Dennis’ parents are due in on Tuesday and that’s the only bathroom available to them unless we want to share the one in our bedroom! BOO! (Yes, we are bad people who don’t want to share! LOL!) Plus we are getting the boys the following Saturday so it has to get done! That’s our biggest project though and having that stress off our minds is wonderful! We will be able to refinance now and hopefully get everything else ready to have the house on the market by mid July when the boys go back home. The relief is incredible!

*Edit* Bathroom is done! Pictures (and parents!) are on the way!

Hard work always pays and it is nice when a room is finally finished. We have lots of rooms that need finishing… Thanks for your note, I just have felt so uninspired to write lately. Hopefully I’ll get back into it this week, because I have been thinking that I should really write an entry more often (I envy people that can manage to write something interesting every day – how do they do it?). I know your pain. I have two houses , both are unders construction pretty much constant. One we live in and the other is my childhood home which one of my boys now calls home. He is a college student. I am going room by room and doing it totally when I can afford another room. I’ve already accepted its going to take forever. lol

Haha, yeah! I’m loving HGTV more and more…so many great new shows. And Design Star is coming back in July!
