Water park…

Getting out of the house takes a lot longer with a 4 year old. That is why we didn’t get to the water park till 10:00. It opened at 9:30, and that first hour is when you get get a lot done, and then you do the lazy river for a bit and then leave, before it gets too crowded.

We tried to get her to do the family raft ride, but it was too scary, so we went to the one slide where a small child can go with an adult. She loved it, but the line was already 25 minutes, which is INSANE, IMO anyway.

We walked up again to do one of the other water slides but she freaked out saying it was too scary.

This too scary thing annoys me because after she does it, she LOVES it. I am so over it. She is scared of everything. EVERYTHING. *rolls eyes*

So we walked back down and went to the wave pool. She swam around and then the waves started. I told her no swimming or floating when the waves are going. If you have been in a wave pool you know it can get crazy then. She didn’t listen, got a warning, didn’t listen, and we dragged her out.

She played in the little kid area for a few minutes, and then we went to the lazy river and did two and a half times around. We went to the big kid area, and she kind of liked it, kind of didn’t. She was really jumpy. Scared of this, scared of that.

She would go down the blue slide, but not the pink slide. Then she started to freak out about whatever, and so we said time to leave. We were there for 2 hours.

We then went and had lunch, and went to Publix.

We went home and told Eliana if she took a nap we could go to Busch Gardens, but she didn’t want to, she just wanted to stay home. I felt she needed a nap anyway, but she never did go to sleep. I zonked out for over an hour.

After lunch Daniel got the lawnmower out of where it was stuck. My Dad had tried to mow the other day when we were at Disney and it sunk right down in one spot.

Can you handle all of my excitement??!

I find it interesting that the guy who helps in the show, My Cat From Hell, is a big tattooed guy.

He goes and tries to help people who have scary cats. I really could have used him with Delilah. (I miss my Delilah.)

Water Parks are so much fun, but I don’t go there anymore cause being a middle aged fat white guy, I don’t look good in a bathing suit anymore. Just don’t want to be seen at a water park .. so it is a no go zone. But I can understand how to a 4 year old it can be a scary place. But I am sure that she will outgrow it sometime soon. Hope you have a good weekend. Take care.

We are having the same problem. Ophira is scared of empty bathtubs when using the toilet. O_o And Gabrielle finds lots of things scary. Yesterday’s big thing was carrying her through the spraying archways at this new water park in the city. Once I carried her through a couple of times (telling her to cover her eyes and hold her breath), she *finally* enjoyed it alone, but before that, I couldn’t even call her over if she suspected I wanted to coax her to walk through it. šŸ˜›

Hopefully the “scared” phase will be over soon. Jackson Galaxy is an interesting fellow. His look doesn’t seem to match his personality in the least. There are some seriously scary cats on that show!
