I got those emails about my OD password being compromised. oh well. things seem to be okay, so, I’m back.

son got home from fencing camp a little while ago. he did well, it’s good to have him home.

I feel left out. I’m the only person I know who didn’t get one of those emails. I would suspect the email went awry except my password wasn’t changed, either. Good fencers make good neighbors.

ryn: Yeah, I wasn’t laughing. I was just grimly amused. McCain’s spokespeople say he knew Palin’s daughter was pregnant before he decided to nominate her as his veep candidate. I believe him, mostly because the girl is so far along. But that means he decided she would appeal to people who are living out the lyrics of country music songs. Country music fans used to annoy and confuse mebecause they all repeated the same mindless slogan, “I love country music because it’s real.” (Is it any wonder Rush Limpo had such good luck getting them to mindlessly repeat whatever he says?) But now I understand that anybody who says that can’t imagine a life beyond the confines of that narrow world-view. So it IS real to them. It encompasses the only set of choices they know. I have to go puke now.
