In the “It’s not my fault” category…

Gee, Officer, it’s really not my fault because

I mistook him for a zombie.

Soon to be followed by:

"Well, yes, I did shoot him, but I thought he was a werewolf and, well, I had these silver bullets in my revolver which I just happened to have with me"

and

"Well, yes, I did pound that wooden stake through her heart but…."

I am, as Gordon Ramsay would say, gobsmacked. And on top of this, Sweety finds the story of the lady who jumped into the polar bear enclosure in the Berlin zoo, during feeding time. Maybe it was a new weight loss method – apparently she needed one.

Maybe it’s time for me to rant again about how we’ve cancelled out natural selection for our species — a healthy population sort of depends on natural selection, at least, that’s what Darwin and a host of other folks have pretty much figured out. And I’d agree. What happens when there is no natural selection…..

In the US we are selecting for the delusion gene, as religious people make the most babies. Outside the US, the pressure of starvation and bad water must be doing something to the afflicted populations. Not to mention AIDS.

ryn: It sounds like they are gambling on the Disneyland/world market and the Zipcar model to get people interested in them. Unless crowded downtown areas jump on the bandwagon, it will just be a novelty. Hard to know.. GM spent over a billion dollars on hydrogen car prototypes on the assumption that somebody would provide a nationwide hydrogen infrastructure with true “gas” stations fromcoast to coast. And that hasn’t happened.

I concur. I vote to reinstate natural selection in human populations as a means of quality control. And if the motion passes, i’ll be out there with a bucket of popcorn to watch the flies drop. Okay, maybe not. But i won’t really complain.

Woody harrelson is a total fruit loop (I got that term from my dad). My brother was talking about that woman at dinner today & the only reason I knew what he was talking about was because I read it here. I hope that you & Sweety had a nice Sunday. xo
