Happy Father’s Day!

excuse spelling problems, my dog is helping me type…

Happy Father’s Day everyone!

We drove up to our friends Jeanine & J  in Harrisburg PA yesterday, along with another friend Sharon and met all day yesterday for planning on our future wellness center/refuge.  Jeanine is trans & a wonderful architect & green designer – Sharon is also trans & is the entrepreneur/business development person.  We talked all Sat and came back this morning.

I got  adinner out last tues, and cards & phone calls today.  is good.

facial surgery sched. for aug 12 – i’ll be out of work a couple of weeks.  They have operating rooms at this practice, they do everthing there, no hospital, then you go home that night and you come back the next morning   work is being very cool about the whole thing, really nice.  will get legal name change @ same time & back as Judith Miquela Bienvenu.

Started telling friends too – told one of my oldest friends last Thursday – I’ve known him since 1985 – he stood by me when I got my divorce, I kept him company when his first wife died of colon cancer.  Sweety and I were the witnesses at his second wedding.  He was pretty shocked, he’s not one for thinking outside the box too often, so we’ll have to see what the long term effects are on that friendship.  Will prep letters for other friends and neighbors, telling them what’s up.  Pretty soon, won’t have to change clothes to walk the dogs, thank goodness.

Oooh, it’s all rather exciting, isn’t it? I’m sure your friend will understand.

Everything sounds wonderful. I’m happy to hear that you’re doing so well. xo

Happy Father’s Day. Uh.. Will you be wanting Mother’s Day cards next year? I’m not entirely serious or entirely unserious. I suppose if I can think of a question like that on my own, that means there are long threads about it woven through the blogosphere.

In answer to Deve’s question — I’ll still get Father’s Day cards, and no, it isn’t fair for me to get Mother’s Day cards too. Although I did ask if I could double-dip – the reaction from the family was not positive…
