Down with the Flu

Gentle Hearts,

Hubby and I had a great weekend!  Saturday we went uptown and shopped a bit.  Hubby bought a new PC for us at this store called Dixons! It’s groovy!  It has 350MG of memory, a DVD burner and player and a TFT monitor screen! It’ll be dilivered next Saturday!   We  also went to Boswell and I got two 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles to keep me busy! Then we went to the Town Hall record fair.  It was a room filled with all kinds of CD and vinal records!  I got a compliation of love songs on three CD’s for £5!

I haven’t been feeling too well since Saturday.  I came down with the flu.  Saturday I was completely knackered and later at night I developed a sharp sore thorat.  On Sunday morning I ran a fever and had chills and bodyache and severe headache!   Hubby gave me a Lemsip with paracetamol on Sunday morning but by afternoon I wasn’t feeling any better.  The Fun Fair over at the park was beautiful and interesting.  My husband’s family and their children came over and we all went to the Festival yet I felt awful!  I just didn’t want to spoil it for anyone so I braved it!  We stayed two and a half hours.  This was my first Fun Day Festival here so I didn’t want to miss it!  I played a game of ‘Fesh the Penu’  which was a tub full of plastic penguins and you had to fish and hook the penquin for a prize.  I won a teddy bear.  Hubby won me a Pooh Bear in another game of Toss the Ball in the Basket and I returned to the Fish the Penu and hooked another penguin.  I gave the teddy to Alex’s grandneice and kept the Pooh and this cute monkey couple on a pillow that says, ‘ I LOVE YOU’

When we got home I dashed to the bathroom and then dived into bed! I really wasn’t feeling well!  I’m usually up and about everyday doing all sorts of little projects, but I really felt lowsy!

Last night I had the chills and my head was pounding!  Hubby gave me two paracetamols and a glass of water. He wants me to drink loads of water! This will help me flush this flu out of my system.
