Oh no! Bronchitis!

I felt so terrible yesterday! I got up from bed at 4AM. I couldn’t breathe! I was taking shallow breaths and

coughing hysterically with chills! I also went to the bathroom frequently during the coughing spells.

I had no energy and somehow couldn’t go back to bed, it was uncomfortable breathing and had to get up periodically.

The cleaning lady came and I had to be re-locating in

different rooms of the apartment. ;-/ I was hyperventilating as I sat on my black Chaise, pale-faced with tears in my eyes.

Mom thought that I was over-reacting. On Thursday I came down with the flu but I went to work anyway. I came home and had a nice meal and went to bed as usual.

I was too weak to talk.

She took me to the doctor’s office which is only a block away. I couldn’t even dress myself! I put on a bra and panties and a heavy purple sweater with matching skirt.

My hair dis-shevelled and my face paler than Casper’s.

It was pouring outside! It had rained all day! Mom and I walked in the rain. I had my golden rain coat on.

I couldn’t even walk a block…I’d have to stop midway to catch my breath. Mom was hysterical.

I saw her crying. She hates seeing anyone with coughing fits since my Grandfather died of Emphysema in 1977 and

died while in a coughing fit. I just couldn’t help it!

At the doctor’s I sat, with my head down on the chair while I waited to be attended. Finally I was called.

The nurse took my blood pressure. It was incredibly high:

150 over 100! She said it may be due to the coughing spells. The doc came in and heard my chest with his

stethoscope. He gave me his diagnosis right away after listening to my chest wheezing….Bronchitis! He said

that if I had waited any longer I’d have to be admitted to the hospital! ;o0

He said that my bronchial cavities were completely blocked! He gave me a shot to open my bronchial..It worked like a charm!

He prescribed 6 different medications for me.

I went home and straight to bed! Within minutes I was breathing normally. I am better now! I am still coughing and my body hurts, not to mention my head which has been throbbing since early afternoon yesterday.

My breathing is in the norm now. I am a little weak.

I will be going to the doctor’s soon to get an entire physical. Man! This was scary!
