Nervous!

These past two weeks have been cruel! I went back to work and it has been like going on a roller-coaster ride!

I’ve never been so insulted, scared, nervous, engraged in all my life!!!

The ‘fun’ started when I got back. I am hosting a Summer Reading Club for children from grades 3 to 6. The theme is King Arthur. I gave Vader, my boss as I fondly call him, a reading list of books the children are suppose to read. Well he either lost the list I gave him or someone ate it because he couldn’t find it nor get the books I wanted. With a few days before the Summer Reading Club he vowed to get them for me. He asked me to ask Estella, the Reference Librarian if she could get them from another library. I was going to get the ISBN numbers for her that evening because I had no time during the day with all the children there. It appeared that Vader beat me to it and handed Stella the list without me knowing.

Next thing I knew I turned around and Stella was before me. She screeched at me saying that if I thought I was going to get those books before Thursday I was mistaken.

Appauled but smiling as I held my composure I said ,”OK”

I took the list from her, turned my back away from her and continued to shelve my books.

Fifteen minutes later she comes up, takes the list from me(obviously I unconsciously emitted guilt rays at her).

She said she would try to get it for me.

At ten to five PM Vader came up to me and asked me to give the list to him. He will get it for me. He left for the day with my list and he vowed to get the books for me.

Shaking my head at this, I resumed my work.
