Day 31

I made it!!!  1 MONTH sober yesterday. 🙂  I feel better than ever, stronger than ever.  I am starting to get natural highs again, I was so immue to relying on artificial highs such as drugs and alcohol to boost me up when really all it was doing was giving me a temporary fix and then I would just sink lower.

I went out today and bought myself a new mountain bike.  I have decided that I am going to take up trail riding this summer.  I use to do it when I was younger, casually with a less than average bike and I REALLY enjoyed it.  So I went out today and bought myself a $800 bike as a reward to myself for 1 month of clean living.  It really is a sweet bike.  Here is a pic:

It is a good starter bike for somebody who wants to get into the sport.  Made specifically for trail riding, it is a 24 speed with 6 inch disc brakes, front shocks, hard tail, 24 inch wheels, light alloy frame.. anyway… the model is 2006 Giant “Yukon”.

So I think I am going to call my GF this week.  We have been apart for 4 weeks now.  She wanted to see if I was serious about not drinking, because if I’m not she doesn’t want anything to do with me.  I will call her mid week, ask her out to do something, maybe go ice skating, play mini-putt, I don’t know haven’t decided yet.  I feel if I speak with confidence, and sound happy she will give me another chance.  I really miss her.

Music of the Moment:  None, at work.
Today I Feel: Fantastic!

Congratulations on one month. My fiance has eight months clean, it is a fantastic feeling, and a complete change in him. Your gf will see a difference for sure! It’s amazing what being sober can do to a relationship. Again, congratulations!
