Day 7 Great luck!

Holy crap!  I have had such great luck the last day!

Ok, first thing; last night my gf and I are driving back from the grocery store and listening to the radio.  On the radio there is a contest, post your 3 fav punk bands in a blog on the radio stations website and you could win tickets to Edgefest and Die Manaquin if they play your three bands.  So when I get home I decide to post.  So I post my bands;

1. Rise Against
2. Rancid
3. NoFx

They say they will play the winner at 9:15pm.  So we listen to the radio at 9:15 and they play the first tune… it is a NoFx tune, and I am like “Well maybe some others like NoFx too, it is a big band.” The next song plays… it is a Rancid tune, now I’m starting to get nervous.  Then the third tune comes on, and it is Rise against!  I started jumping up and down in my room laughing, while my GF sat on my bed laughing at me. I call up the station and they got my info, so I won a pair of Edgefest tickets (value $160) and a pair of tickets to Die Manaquin ($40).  I was so happy, I don’t win things very often.

So next, after I calmed down, I went to grab the mail.  I only had one piece and it was from the government of Canada.  I’m thinking “God, what do they want from me now?!”  I open the letter and it says in short; “Our records have indicated we have not paid you a GST refund in the last 2 years, we have deposited $443 into your account.”  YES!  Free money!

So today… My girlfriend calls me up and she was hired for the job she applied to at a lab to be a medical lab tech…I’m so happy for her, she has been applying to places for months, and nothing.  🙂
