thank you for all your compliments on my house. *beams* i’m glad you showed some interest; i love looking at people’s houses, but i don’t expect everyone to feel the same way. i would LOVE to get smaller furniture (or at least get 2 smaller chairs to replace the big chair–more seating!) i try so hard to make it pretty and we barely ever have anyone come over!! silly people. why don’t they visit us?
last night, i turned to see what sawyer was up to and realized he was practicing letting go of the chair in the living room, meaning he was standing up with the chair (one hand) and letting his fingers off the cushion. after that, i had him stand with me and i got him to let go (once) and he laughed and came toward me so he could grab on. he did not want to repeat that anymore. however, he is getting closer to letting go, which is good. he’ll be walking before i know it and i really do think he’s going to be standing with the furniture and just walk away.
i’ve decided, with some advice from my faves, to start mixing in whole milk into sawyer’s bottles. once i get them all changed over to whole milk and he gets used to the new taste, then i will start transitioning him to a cup of milk. hopefully he does well with it. he thinks sippy cups are for water and for drinking whenever you get thirsty. he does not equate them with solving hunger. that is for food and bottles. this could be a tough transition but i hope not. by the way, i was going to keep the bedtime bottle until i thought he was ready to let go of it. he’s pretty attached to his bottle, but i think that the younger i change him over, the better off we will be. old habits die hard. i’m just glad i never let him go to sleep with a bottle or it would be that much harder.
last night, i put in 2 hours of yoga. i went to class from 5-6 (i was late but no one seemed to mind) and after dennis came home from his optimist meeting, we did a yoga DVD (it turned out to be an hour long.) i didn’t get any pictures (sorry, irene.) if we could combine dennis’s balance and my flexibility (we’ll use his strength), we’d be a yoga machine. i have NO balance but dennis has more balance than most of the people in my classes do. i tend to be the most flexible though.
i hope my internet continues to work today. i hate when that happens. grrrr.

i was looking at old navy online and they have some CUTE things out now. i WANT them. i wonder how i can convince dennis to take me there and buy me stuff (canadians can’t order from the online store)?

1. Can you cook? yes. i was a cook in two different restaurants. i hated every minute of it. waitressing was definitely more my speed.
2. What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator? depends who i’m with.
3. What talent do you wish you had? i don’t know.
4. Favorite place? dominican, because it’s really the only place i’ve been (honeymoon) and it was so nice to be away for a week with no worries. the other place? maybe the bruce peninsula. nice place to camp here in ontario.
5. Favorite vegetable? pffft. i don’t know! ummmmm…the stuff in coleslaw (carrots, cabbage, etc.)
6. What was the last book you read? a danielle steel one. i still don’t know why people like her so much, so i’m reading another. very slowly. hard to get into it.
7. Are you Dirty or Clean? a little bit of both, i’m sure. 😉
8. Any Tattoos and/or Piercings? 2 tattoos. ears pierced.
9. Worst Habit? chocolate!

4. What was your dream growing up? to be a writer. i have a master’s degree in english lit and creative writing and now, i’m a mom. way to go, champ. LOL.
5. Worst thing to ever happen to you? when my brother tried to kill my father. luckily, my father saw it coming, called the cops, and hid. yeah, great childhood i had (my brother is 10 years older than i am and a manipulative, useless alcoholic.)
6. Would you give me money or a slap in the face? money if i could
7. Tell me one weird fact about you: i don’t like another person’s hair to touch me.
8. Would you have my back or kick me when I’m down? have your back, i would hope

OD friends. that would be sad.
14. Would you be my crime partner or my conscience? probably your conscience. i’m can barely tell white lies. i wouldn’t be good as a crime partner. unless my gun is shiny. then i’ll reconsider.
15. If you could change anything about me, would you? again, see 12.
16. How do you fall asleep? i lay down and get comfy. usually on my stomach with legs in weird positions. i’m quite flexible.
17. Would you come over to yell at me or just call? what did you do wrong?
18. Would you go on a blind date if I set you up? you should ask dennis
19. If I only had one day to live would you be honest or lie? honest, i would think
20. A million bucks.. what would you do with it? pay off student loans, move
21. What is your worst fear? probably death but more, anything happening to dennis, sawyer, my mom, my sister and family, and my good friends
22. Favorite thing to do in your spare time? OD usually but shopping comes above all else

Oh you and me both! I heart a lot of Old Navy’s stuff, and I am a clothes-a-holic. I could shop all day long. *sighs* But I am like you, where am I going to wear it? I already have a bunch of dresses and pretty clothes that I have no place to wear. Which obviously says something about my exciting life.

RYN: “review day”, as i so called it, is really Portfolio Review Day at Ball State University. high school juniors and seniors can bring in their work personally rather than sending it in the mail to be viewed for scholarships from the A.D. and acceptance into the department. they decide if you get accepted right away, so you know by the time you leave. at first i chose to go for both, but then…

RYN: well, our grades CAN get us scholarships. there are a million and one out there to apply for…they have so many different ones it’s insane. but each have certain requirements. they even have one for “atheists”. told ya, it’s ridiculous. but good if you get one. the one i would be applying is given out by the art department at BSU. it’s a full ride. i really should try for it.

i can cook. i don’t like cooking for large groups of people, for when they tell me it’s ‘great’, i think they’re lying to make me feel better. i would freak out if i was stuck in an elevator, i’m claustraphobic! i really wish i could sing. i don’t have one, so i haven’t been there yet, lol hmm. i like zucchini and squash, etc. i read OD novels. ;P i’m clean. sometimes i get unorganized, but NEVER dirty! 2 tattoos, eyebrow ears and cartiledge pierced for now. i nitpick people to DEATH about EVERYTHING. i have a lot of pet peeves.
