Jolly good time

Yes I did a little Christmas shopping after I went to the dentist this morning. I had to have a broken off filling redone. I did it in white this time so my mouth doesn’t look so full of cavities. I think I have every tooth filled now with a filling. It’s funny my kids are almost 18 and 16 and neither has a cavitiy. I can’t believe it. I guess sealents and regular checkups really work. I knocked off a few things for Christmas so that feels good. I am not sure what to get hubby. I was going to give him money for a new lawnmower. But since we have had nice weather he got out there and mowed the other day and said it runs great. Only after he fixed it for the 5th time this year. I really think it’s time. The only thing is that mower works so nice.

There are alot of cars at the neighbors house down the street. I think the lady is dying of cancer. She is about my age so she is not old by any means. I think she has had cancer for awhile. She was in remission last year at this time and then one of my other neighbors said it came back in Feb. So not sure if she is not doing well or what. The other lady who has brain cancer is doing well I guess. I talked to her mother last week and she said she is holding her own and that she seems to have things under control. They have had a rough summer. I dont’ think she has been working or driving, but today I saw her back out of the garage then back in the driveway then back up again and go into the neighbors driveway. Not really sure what that is all about.

Thanksgiving was very nice. We had it at my sisters and we were drinking Cranberry-Grape martini’s. They were pretty darn good. Of course, on Friday I was pretty useless. And it was nice outside. I did get most of my outside stuff up and hubby hung the lights this year. It was 55 degrees so our hands didn’t get cold or anything. It felt nice and it was enjoyable. I worked a few hours on Saturday and then back to work tomorrow. So all in all it was an enjoyable weekend. Sure glad I am NOT working my merchandising job in Walmart this year. I get happy when the days come up and I go to the other job and enjoy being there with no rush of people and no screaming kids! It is so nice!

It’s gloomy here today and it looks like it could rain. Rain I said because it’s about 45 degrees. Not bad for the end of November. We will take it over snow anyday. I am so not ready for any snow. Christmas Eve & Day it can snow and that is it.

Things are work are settled down now and going much better. We get so bored during the day because we are not used to all the chaos. So we can get our stuff done and sit around with nothing to do or find something to do. The last couple of weeks have been really busy so I am thankful for that. Not sure how Christmas season will be. I guess people still need bread.

Well I am off to balance the old checkbook. Hope there is still something left.
