Work all week..yuck

Today is supposed to be my day off.  Well you all know how that goes.  I got a phone call last night…one of the girls broke up with her boyfriend.  He bought her a car and he took it back.  She doesn’t have a car.  She needs to get her taxes done so she can pay the ex-boyfriend for the car.  So I say I will work in the afternoon.  Not going in any earlier than I have to.  I was supposed to work Tues-Sat.  So now she is working my 9-1 on Saturday.  It should work out unless she calls me and says she can’t work on Saturday.  Then I will blow a gasket.  She has been calling me once a week to work for her at some point.  It’s getting old and I may have to talk to her about it.  I don’t mind working but not all the time.  And now that her boyfriend isn’t living with her she needs the money.  Plus she will leave early if I come in after her and close.  She better be telling the boss.  I am not going thru this again with another employee.  It’s hard to find good help these days isn’t it?  I guess I just don’t have a high tolerence for irresponsible people.  You want to spend money but you don’t want to work for it.  That is not how things work in this world. 
I was sick all weekend.  Just laid around and did nothing.  My gay friend came to town and wanted to meet for brunch on Sunday.  I didn’t find out until Saturday afternoon.  I told my girlfriend to just tell him I wasn’t well. I didn’t feel like going to brunch and then sitting there blowing my nose and coughing the whole time.  My eyes are dripping water all over the place.  I wonder if I have a sinus infection.  I feel a bit better today, just hate the fact that my eyes keep watering.  It really hasn’t been a bad cold other than my eyes.  I usually get that every time I get a cold but only for one day this has gone on for about five days now. 
It’s cold here and we got a dusting of snow.  I guess for January we can’t complain.  It has been a mild winter so far.  We still have to live thru March.  I have a feeling we will get dumped on.
Hubby invited some of the neighbors over for a Superbowl party.  We have room for 6 perfectly 8 a little crowded.  It’s on CBS this year so it will be in HD.  Should be cool to watch. I don’t really care who wins.  I should say Chicago, but I know they don’t stand a chance and they are our rivalry if you live in the  souther part of the state. 
I didn’t do much today, I worked out, cleaned the bathroom, threw a roast in the crockpot for hot beefs later.  Just getting ready to head out the door to work.  Still not sure what is going on around there but hope they can hire someone soon.  I am getting sick of working five days a week.  If I am going to do that I may as well be full time and get benefits.  Right??  I don’t want to work full time.  But then again if they hire someone I will be back down to two or three days a week.  I am sure I will get called in to work anyway.  That is just the way it goes. 
Can you tell what time of the month it is by my complaining??
