Getting closer

Wow I can’t believe next week my son graduates from high school!  Where has the time gone?  He can’t be this old already.  His life has flown by so fast it is like a big blur.  Now I know how fast the summer is going to go by and then he will be off to college and on his own.  Ouch, now I know how a mother bird or tiger feels after letting her babies go.
I still have to sit down and write him a dear son letter.  Tell him how proud I am of him in what he has done over the years.  I hope he will cherish it.
The party is the 9th and I have been all worried about it for the last couple of weeks.  What happens… happens I guess what are you going to do.  I keep having dreams we run out of food.  Like I haven’t been to a party before that hasn’t.   Do most people eat alot when they come?  His friends have a lot of parties that day so I think most will come and go and not really eat anything to much.  We will find out, it’s my first graduation party and I am planning for a big turnout so I just hope I don’t run out of food.  I have it going from 2-6 and that is it.  But my family will stick around and if it is nice we will have a fire in the driveway or sit in the garage and live it up.  I just wanted it from 2-6 so my son could leave and go to his other parties.
And I would have a time where I could get everything put away and not leave it sit out and spoil.
Well I probably won’t be on much more before then since I will have a ton of stuff to do the week before.  I took vacation that week, since hubby only took off 2 days.  Looks like I will be running my butt off.
Well must get ready for work.

The party will be just fine! Just make sure you take the time to enjoy it, rather than just filling up the food bowls! I know, easier said than done, huh? My time is next year for CW. The time sure does fly with our kids, that’s for sure! Hugs,

A wonderful milestone for you and family, especially that young man. Congrats, kid. I can understand you being in a tither with the cebrelations and having that party and wanting it to be done right. It will, woman, with you running it. I just know it. Do savor all of this time in your life.
