College Kid

Ok seems this college life is great or something.  I received no phone calls from the son this week.  He emails his dad but I think he has forgotten his mother.  I have been the one making the calls, (only because like one of my favorites says about her granddaughter,) he is my prozac.  I just needed to hear his voice.  He has had a lot of homework, some days doing 5 hours worth.  Wow what happens when he gets in the swing of things.  He also has two classes with 500+ students so they have to read alot and take alot of notes.  But he said so far he loves it.  I hope it continues the next 6+ years.
I do miss him alot but not as much as when we first came home.  As long as I hear from him I figure everything will be ok until I talk to him next.  I get nervous about him driving around a strange town, but his g-friend seems to know her way around quite well.  He said she is good with directions and remembers things like that.
The younger son isn’t missing his brother in the least.  Maybe when he comes home for a visit it will hit him.
The next few weekends are full.  Then school will begin after Labor Day and then it seems like the time flies.  I had a talk with one lady about a job but it was only 4 hours a week.  I have another call in to another guy about a job and I am waiting for him to call back.  Just seeing what it is all about.  They are flexiable jobs and I want that again.  I am sick of working Saturdays and staying at work when there is nothing to do.  I was spoiled with my other job. So I guess I will wait and see, I have a feeling it’s only going to be about 10 hours a week.  Hoping it’s not because personally it’s not worth it.
Well have to get clothes off the line, just a short update.

Jordan hasn’t called me, either. I think they just get busy and forget. *hugs*

I big step in your life having the first kid get off to college. Understand your concerns for him being “okay” away from the nest. I think your home-making for your family is paying off. I like to read that this son loves the college schooling stuff even with the damn huge classes. He’s spread his wings and seems to be flying nicely. Live on and enjoy, mom. Oh, that work business… sheesh,I never took to it, well, big-time I mean.
