I’m three gifts away from being completely finish my Christmas shopping! And it feels so good.

Someone is TOTALLY getting spoilt this Christmas.

And he’s about 33 inches tall and weighs about 23lbs.

This is everything he is getting…

As you can see – mostly wooden toys. Its something I really believe in for a LOT of reasons. But the main three are…

1) Better for the environment than plastic toys

2) Better for childrens imagination

3) Last longer and can be passed from child to child.

Everything is stacked up in our bedroom – which he doesn’t go in to. But by next year, I’m sure I’ll have to find a hiding spot 😛

**I had a few "Out of Stock" issues with one of the stores I buy from – so I got some alternatives.
And then bought a few extras. I really, really need to stop now.

Evan is done but I still need stuff for other family members! Except Kim and Dave, I sent their stuff last month. I think Wes will really like the easel, Ev loves his!

awesome. I haven’t done much at all yet, but I’m waiting for Black Friday. I go shopping with my ex’s mom and sister (and I think his wife is coming too) anytime I’m in town and the deals are AWESOME. I’m 90% with her sticker book though. Just need to add the title and laminate it. She LOVES stickers.

kewl! Magna doodles are huge at our house. Every single kid in our home loves to draw on ours. We’ve discovered the best toy investments over the years are 1) Art supplies, 2) PLAIN lego (the small, but not smallest, size) and 3) Trains/tracks and 4)wooden blocks. Also what’s held it’s play value are hotwheels cars and basically anything that isn’t a play set (play set = set play, ya know?).We are not going to buy many toys at ALL this year, like most years. Our kids just end up playing with the lego and blocks we have anyways 😉

*nods wholeheartedly* I’m VERY much for children’s wooden toys, for the same reasons as you. I’m in awe of your Christmas organisation. 🙂 P.S. – That car garage/ramp is fantastic!!

ryn: I put it on private…too much of a pity party, ya know? I wish CIO would work for us. Anything. I’m so tired!

ryn: I love you just for wishing you could help, seriously.

Its actually a smaller forum I go on that doesnt have a ton of people like MSOS so thier threads stand out more. I agree with you though MSOS is drama central. I try to pass by those crazy threads and just read the ones where people have easy questions.

you are SO smart. i wish i’d started with only wooden toys. i’d allow probably miniature cars and thomas trains though, b/c they’re a hit around here. but the wooden toys are good for kids in so many ways AND they’re expensive so we’d only have quality stuff and not so much JUNK around here. oh well, once beau’s past the baby toys, we’ll have less stuff 🙂
