midtown

On Friday night, I went with Rooney and a bunch of Decker 2 guys to see Midtown play in Philly at the Trocadero. I burned both Midtown CDs at the very beginning of the school year and have been listening to them a lot lately (since i found out i was seeing them). By the way, I love the song “Like a Movie” and you should all download it. Anyway, they played with Taking Back Sunday, who I had heard of but never heard, but people said they were pretty good. Well, I guess their music was decent from what I could tell, but they were all big nerds who were good at playing music…nobody that struck me as someone I thought would be cool to hang out with. But I did think a couple of the Midtown guys looked cool. And when Midtown played their set, I was in the pit the whole time. I got pretty nuts in there sometimes, I was especially pumped for “Get It Together” and “Like a Movie”, but it was crazy for a lot of songs. When the show ended, my clothes and hair were soaked.

Plus, I realized Rooney is a poor driver, only slightly better than Loc. On the way down, he rear-ended someone on 95, but it was in traffic so there wasn’t any damage. Then he got lost in the city (it would be more appropriate, perhaps to say WE got lost, but have no knowledge of Philly, so directions were his responsibility), and then he lost his keys at the concert (but security found them and returned them). But we made it to the show and back again, and since all’s well that ends well, I guess I have no complaints.
