Of Work

I realised that everytime I start on a new job, I’ll need to take sometime to adjust to it. Not to the working environment though. Rather, it’s to get used to the waking up early, insufficient sleep (if there is), and the other minor things. There’s also the idling ard at work becoz I’m new and have nothing much to do.

I hv to work 2 shifts. Morning shift (on Mon and Tue) is normal working hrs, from 830am to 6pm. Afternoon shift (Wed to Fri) is from 1pm to 1030pm. Needless to say, I love Mon and Tue becoz I get to enjoy my evenings and nights. I find working afternoon shifts leave me with little personal time. By the time I wake up, it will be like 10am or even later. So I don’t really hv much time to do anything else. The other solution is to wake up earlier. But being such a lazy bum who loves sleeping, I find that kinda difficult, haha.  

Even though I turn in every night abt the same time (no matter what shift I work), I find the afternoon shift more tiring. And  I think I’ll put on weight easily becoz by the time I rch home, it will be close to 11pm. I’ll tend to eat something becoz I’ll feel hungry by then. Sigh.

Although I work a 5 day week, I still hv to go back to office quite frequently during the wkends whenever there is a function organised by the committees under my care. This Sat will be burnt as well. August will be a month with many events so I guess I wont get to enjoy many wkends.

Have plans to go to the Treetop walk with J on a wkend but the probability doesn’t seem to be high due to me having to work on wkends. Wanted to catch the fireworks festival in Aug but cldnt confirm which day to go becoz I’m not sure which wkend I’ll be available.

Workload wise, I’m don’t hv much to do. Still learning as I go along. Sometimes I get so bored at work that I’ll feel sleepy. And now, I’m typing this at work, waiting for time to pass by so that I’ll knock off at 1030pm…
