Wedding Invitation

Just received a church wedding invitation today. One of my secondary sch friend is getting married in Nov. Her wedding photo is printed on the card and she looks so happy. They always say a woman is the most beautiful on her wedding day. Yup. Not from the make-up and wedding gowns. But from her happiness and joy that comes from within.

I feel like getting married too.

But of course, due to financial constrains, J and I will only be getting married 2 yrs later. Haha. Unless we strike Toto 1st prize or the Big Sweep top prize and we’ll hv the money to do everything earlier.

I guess he’s not ready to settle down anyway. Though I think I’ll hv not much of a problem… Just last week he was saying it takes a lot for one to want to get married.

Workload’s getting heavier. I’m going to take over one more committee from a colleague. I’m the only one with so many committees. I dont know if that’s gd news or bad news. Gd news as in my boss is confident in my capabilities; bad news is I’m going to be buried under my work….

I feel like getting a break… and I’m only 3 and a half months into the job. Haha. At the moment, all my Sat in Nov will be burnt due to work committment.

I dont like it when I hv to work on Sat, be it the whole day or only a few hrs. Becoz Sat is my time with J. The only day when I can get to really spend some quality time with him. I rather work on Sunday.

Talking abt getting a break, I feel like going overseas. No need to be too far, I think I’ll be satisfied with Genting, haha. But whenever I mention to J abt going away, he’ll always hv this mentality that he ought to bring his parents overseas 1st becoz they havent been overseas (only to USA for his graduation). Sigh. That makes me feel like so 2nd-graded. Another reason is I feel if they r really going overseas, his parents would prefer to go as a whole family. And that would cost A LOT considering he has 6 pax in his family. His 2 younger sisters r not contributing economically yet, so most prob he’ll pay most of the cost. And I dont really approve of that becoz it’s not like he’s very well-off or what.

So, sometimes I feel so put off to talk abt going on a holiday with him.

Ah.

i used to feel put off too, long time ago, then i dun even think abt it anymore. coz he’s juz the kind who doesn’t take vacation casually and wont spend the night out unless he really cant help it. so i was very surprised when he offered to go wkend trips w/ me before i moved back last yr. think it’s coz i’m leaving mah… hope it wld be diff after we get married though 🙂 i think it wld 🙂 jj

well maybe you should tell him about how you’re feeling? cos going for a holiday especially for a couple can be very very romantic and fun too!

actually on a positive note, it’s good he treats his family as first priority, cos it means he will treat u as first when u and him become “a family”.

hmm…mebbe he thinks u mean a long expensive holiday that kind. what abt a short retreat mebbe 4D3N to some malaysian resort ? its not a formal holiday and he doesnt have to feel bad for enjoying w/o his parents. he is a good guy for being so filial. gee..i wonder what it is like to want to get married ? why do u want to be married? *curious*

kind of agree it takes a lot for one to want to get married…hmm hw do you know you are ready for marriage? as for the travel arrangements…think no choice but to bear with it…like in the earlier notes, i think its good he places priority on his family…filial piety is hard to come by nowadays…go for a short getaway with some gfs mebbe? 🙂
