Booking of Flat

First of all, thanks for all the lovely notes  Things did get better now.

Let’s talk abt my birthday first. Well, didnt do anything special. I took my ‘birthday off’ (one of my staff benefits) and J took a day’s leave. We had McDonalds breakfast and then discussed abt the flat issue. Had a late lunch/early dinner at Cineleisure… the teppanyaki/steamboat dinner plus the DIY ice-cream. Didnt try that out b4. The ice-cream making part was fun but I dont think the ice-cream tasted very gd. Anyway, think we’ll prefer Seoul Gdn anytime over this, haha.

We went to hdb yest and booked the flat.  Had made our own financial plans and went through a few rounds of calculation/budgeting b4 that, found that everything was still manageable. We wld hv to top up the difference with cash for the downpayment though. But the amt wldnt be that huge as we wld only be paying the downpayment when we sign the lease agreement in 3 months’ time earliest.

Am going to start to do up my resume and be on the lookout for new jobs. I’m now working in the north. I stay in the east, or rather, northeast to be more exact. Our flat is in the west. If I am to stay in this job, I’ll need abt 1 hr 15 min or more to travel to and fro. The main problem is my working hrs. If I work the afternoon shift, I’ll finish work at 1030pm and by the time I get home, it will be almost 12 midnite.

Sometimes I hv meetings to attend at nite. Take for eg the past week which I had 2 project meetings and guess what, 1 ended at 12 midnite and the other ended at 1130pm!

Looking at the timeframe now…. 3 months to signing of agreement/collection of keys, then another 3 months to register our mariage… we still need to check with the hdb branch office if there is any rules to say we need to start renovations by when or if we hv to move in within a specific time. We r actually thinking of not moving in until I get a new job.

Well, getting tired. Think I’ll stop here. Chinese New Year is coming real soon. Havent tidy up my room yet!
