When Lightning Strikes And We Are Sleeping
So.
I’m an old man these days. My birthday was last week and it was a rousing success, such as these things go. I celebrated for three days.
My birthday was on Thursday, which I spent disc golfing with my dad who’d flown up from Florida. Not specifically for my birthday, but it was pleasant to have him around. Followed it up with dinner with my dad and sister and brother-in-law and my niece and my nephew and my run-on sentence structure. Ended the night bar-hopping, including the new bar in town that is flat out awesome. Met the owner, made an impression, ran into a girl I went to school with when I was an itty-bitty boy-thing.
Friday I spent wrangling a loan, mostly. Also babysitting for my sister’s kidlings. Also the bar again. Also coffee.
Saturday I threw a big party that came off pretty well, if I do say so myself. Spent Sunday recuperating, and then a laaaaame laaaaaaaame week at work.
But TOMORROW! Is Casino Day, for there is now a new casino outside of my hometown, where I shall lose bunches of money.
A cheer!
Haha, “and my run on sentence structure.” Love that. Glad you had much birthday fun!
