We are not heroes, by far
And it seems to be a crime against humanity
We cannot right the wrong of the people
And we cannot redeem matters of the heart
We don’t weave justice through our fingers
And wave our wands to undo the damage
We cannot clear the debris any faster than we have
There’s no saving of any souls today, tomorrow or ever
We are not the heroes you thought us to be
We’re just the plain, the normal, the powerless
The people
Of a human race on a mission to acquire something
