Working on Holidays
Okay… just a quick word about the title…
IT SUCKS!
For some reason I signed up for both Christmas Eve and Day, and New Years Eve and Day. What was I thinking?! *smacks forehead*
Then while looking over my hours for the week, I realized if I kept all my hours I would go over my alotted amount (40 hours a week). If I were to go over, there is a good chance I could get fired. That would be bad. So I started looking for someone to take some hours, and while I was at it, see it I could get New Years Eve off. You know, at least one holiday I can have off… Well, to my chagrin, no one took it. But I have several hours after today as well, and no one would take any! I take shifts for people all the time (including the hours that got me into this mess). Well, to make a long story short, I was starting to look like no one was going to take any of my shifts, when all of a sudden my friend emailed me today and said he’d take one of my shifts. So that helps out a bit.
Anyway… lets change subjects a bit.
This is going to sound really really odd, but remember me saying that there is this person that has intrigued me… Well, I was hoping to have heard from them. Of course its only been about 24 hours since I wrote my last entry, and here I am expecting them to have written to me already. Kind of silly. But in the same breath, I was a bit disappointed not to hear from them. *scratches goatee absent-mindedly* Don’t mind me. I’m just weird.
So I have this other story I wanted to post. In my application for graduate school, I had to include an artistic exposition, however all the small snippets I had already written were all over 500 words. I was only allowed 500 words, how is that possible?! (I’m a little long winded if you haven’t noticed).
Anyway, I ended up writing a small piece about the time I my ex-girlfriend and I were in the mall and she saw the ring of her dreams. So, thats what the next entry will be.
