absent state of mind…

i was so tempted to call in sick this morning.  but then i realised i would be leaving my co-worker by herself (don’t get me wrong…  she’s good at what she does, but she’s only good when taking care of her stuff.  now that our boss is gone, both of us are doing our jobs, and his as well.  and he handles FAR more accounts than the two of us could ever handle.  i don’t know how he does it.  so if i had called in sick, i’m thinkin’ i might never heard the end of it from her.)

on a slightly differenct topic…  this is kind of funny.  i recently found out i have a sleep-apnia, but its not a normal kind.  i don’t actually stop breathing, nor do i snore.  what happens is i have a sharp intake of breath, then hold it.  then as the air escapes from my lungs it make i high pitched humming noise (cause basically, i’m humming).  it usually happens when i’m half-awake in the wee-hours of the morning.

well, this morning was different.  i was laying there (half asleep) and realised i was doing it… but this time was different.  i was humming a song.  lol

so i tried to just let it happen and try and figure out what it was i was humming (cause i really had no idea).  then it came to me.  i was trying (emphasis on trying) to hum “do you hear what i hear” (the christmas song).  we had just sung it in church choir the night before.  i started laughing, then choked when i realised i was out of breath, and started coughing uncontrollably… all the while laughing.  i’m just glad no one else was home cause i’m pretty sure it was loud (the coughing and laughing).

needless to say, i got up.
