I was at a church service some time last year at a church I don’t usually attend. I have gone to this church several times, and the messages are always really uplifting. But it bothered me when the preacher used the NIV and the other new translations because I’d look up the same verses in my KJV and it shocked me how different they were. There was one verse where the word PRIESTHOOD was deleted

and that really bothered me (and still does, because hey, I still remember it) because it seems to me like that was an important word in the original translation…
