Day 3 of being a new home owner and my body is breaking with exhaustion. But I love it. Keeping busy is therapeutic and I’ve had  too much of a good time tearing up the dining room carpet and all the staples that come with it. Seeing progress and knowing the source is from yourself brings true happiness. I am so pleased to say I’m winning the war against the sea-foam monster, otherwise known as the carpet. 

Toby has managed to find every possible crevice. This is perhaps his largest stomping ground, with three floors to stalk imaginary prey. Yes, it is a large house…but a house that is worth investing. I recently found out that the front of the house used to serve as a medical clinic in the 1880s. Just one interesting factoid among so many. 

I am happy. Another milestone has been achieved. I can only hope to keep working towards embracing this happiness. The course of life is a fickle path. You have to ride out the bumps and press on for however long you have…
