snow day

I chickened out Tuesday and took a snow day.  Well, actually, I did TRY to go in.  I left the house at 5:45am and it took me 45 minutes to go two miles so I called my boss and then turned around and went home.  And then I convinced Ben that he needed to stay home too.  So we had a nice little cozy snow day. 🙂  And we actually got a little work done on our wiring project.  We’ve been working on getting the upstairs all connected with telephone, cable, and internet.  We’re getting there, it’s just slow going because we haven’t ever done anything like it before.  Hopefully we’ll be able to get done with it this weekend. 

Oh my gosh, guys, I am such a dork.  Tuesday when I finally got home from turning around, I KNOW I pushed the button on the garage door opener to shut the garage door but apparantly it went down a little bit and then went back up again.   That was at about 7:30am and we didn’t notice the damn garage door was open until about 6:30pm.  And it was snowing and blowing and drifting all day…. so we had about 4 to 5 inches of snow IN OUR GARAGE.  UG.  We got as much of it out as possible but it’s still going to make a mess when it melts.  I was so mad! 

Oh well, all that’s done and over with.  We’re supposed to get a little more snow on Saturday but hopefully it won’t accumulate to much.  And who cares if it does because it’s not like I have to drive to work or anything. 

I got my new glasses yesterday.  They’re really going to take some getting used to.  My eyes got A LOT worse since I’ve last been to the eye doctor.  He said it’s from working on a computer all day at work and that he sees it happen a lot.  But yeah, I have had a constant headache for about 5 months so hopefully these will help.  So far it’s only made it worse but I’ll write that off due to an adjusting period.  I’m not at all convinced that I like these frames yet though.  Maybe I just need to get used to that too.  *shrugs*

Ok, well, I’m gonna go eat my lunch.  Mmm… a salad with fat free raspberry vinagrette, peas, carrots, and strawberries.  Good stuff.  *I’m on a diet… I need to tell myself this is good* 😉  It’s actually not that bad.  But I’ll probably be hungry again in about… oh….  20 minutes. 😉
