Ches 11, 1492 – Robyn’s Journal (Journey to Umbridge Hill)

Our first stop is this windmill to convince a midwife to come back to Phandelin where it’s supposedly safe. Why she is miles from town is a mystery to me.

This stupid woman! Not only did she allow her child to be taken! She tricked us into murdering the mother of a baby manticore! I don’t know where humans get off thinking they are the only species that matter. Entitled, arrogant, spiteful creatures. There isn’t even a daddy manticore to take care of the little one. Essy is doing a good job of taking care of it for now, but I don’t think it’s old enough to be left alone. She will probably tell stupid lies in town, making it even harder for us to find out about this stupid curse, and I swear if someone tries to hurt Robyn I’ll become the villain she thinks I am. It would serve her right if we let her son die. But…I can’t. And I don’t think Robyn or Essy can either. Children are precious, even the children of stupid human women. The baby is super cute though! Even when he shoots me with tail spikes! Fucking adorable little thing. Absolutely would let him chew on my arm. Best case scenario the wizard brings the kid with him, we sneak attack the wizard, save the kid, and find someplace safe for the baby. Plans never go well though. Look how well shopping turned out. Why can’t things ever be easy? I get to spend time with Robyn tonight though. I am so excited I think I might burst. Have to go! Play time!
