Finally! My Music Online!

Hey Groovers!

I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! How fukin long have I been on this box telling you guys about the good old days and the band, the music, and promising that one day I will pass it on to you and lket you hear my stuff? Well, that day has now finally arrived.

About a week or so ago the drummer from my first band caught up with me. He’d been chasing me for quite a while and eventually got my contact details from his ex girlfriend whome I am yet to thank. Since then it’s been a whirlwind of catchup conversations on the phone and TONS of emailed material. Tez was the drummer from heaven and I so miss his work, that was until this add request from myspace asked to be added. His new band is called “The Teddy Bear Assasins”, and I am fukin loving their groove!

The one thing that they are advertising on the page is the need for a front person, singer/songwriter. If I was still in briz-vegas, there would be NOTHING to hold me back from those guys lol, but unfortunatly, and maybe fortunatly, I’m too far away. I no longer have any of the old stuff that we did with Darkshot, it’s all gone exept for a very little amount of vidio footage still in storage in Queensland. However, Tez had it all! Thanks to him, I have been able to condence it to the point that I can play each track to you :)))))))

Now I don’t want to disapoint you too much, but I have to be honest and say that the recordings are not exactly perfect. They are archived files that were taken while we were in various jam sessions all those years ago in Brisbane. In fact, I had NO idea that they existed till a week ago, and I’m just about ready to kiss his feet for giving them to me! One by one he sent them through on email, and as I drank more and more while listening, I actually got the weeps lol! So many fond memories came flooding back.

So, just keep that in mind as you listen over the next few entries ok, they are raw unmastered (almost) recordings that bassically consisted of one or two “house” mikes in the jam rooms. Finally, I can back up the things I have said all this time, this is Darkshot, my first band, and although it may not apeal to all of you, it was where we were at the time. Full of creation, innovation and CUM lmao!

If you get a chance, go have a look, it’s still in it’s infant stages, but I have heaps of old pics and material to put up as time permits. It’s going to be a wonderful thing to creat 🙂

So, without further adu, this is the first track I want to play for yawl, its called “Currupted Minds”. it was written by Dave Reid, the rythum guitarist from the band, long before I actually joined and i loved singing it. I Welcome all comments and criticisms, but bare in mind it’s raw ok!
